Spring 2024 Newsletter and Open House
Spring has finally arrived, along with plenty of rain.
We are once again having our semi-annual open house on Saturday April 27th and Sunday April 28th from 12p-4p. The open house provides an excellent opportunity to drop in for any number of reasons. Maybe you already have your arrangements or family here and just want to update or check on some information, maybe you feel like you should begin the pre-planning conversation, but don’t know where to start, or just stop in to say high and grab a cup of coffee and a cookie or two.
Whether your preferences lean toward cremation, traditional burial, niches, crypts or you are looking for a headstone, we’re here to guide and assist.
No appointment is necessary and no pressure. We look forward to seeing you!
Securing peace of mind should never strain your finances.
There are many reasons to preplan. Alleviate undue stress on your loved ones, prevent emotional overspending during difficult times and safeguard your future and savings with today’s pricing, are just a few of them. But securing that peace of mind should never strain your finances.
At Gethsemane and St Mary’s Cemeteries, we have 3 different, companion space options to choose from for under $28 a month. There are both traditional and cremation options at either Gethsemane or St. Mary’s Cemetery. Stop by our Open House to see how affordable securing peace of mind can be.
Memorial Day – Mark your calendars!
We will once again have our annual Memorial Day Mass on Memorial Day, Monday May 27th, 2024 at 10am. The Buccaneer Alumni Drum and Bugle Corps will be here once again to honor our Veterans with Taps and a medley of service hymns. Our Memorial Day Mass is held rain or shine with fellowship and refreshments afterwards.
Cemetery Water On
The staff will be turning the water on at both Gethsemane and St. Mary’s Cemeteries by the week of April 15th.
New Chapel of the Resurrection Glass Front Niches
We are excited to announce the completion of our new glass front niches in the Chapel of the Resurrection. We have had requests for new spaces in the Chapel, so we don’t expect these to last long.
Development
Gethsemane Cemetery has been busy over the years providing for new development as well as some improvements to existing areas. The image shows the names of the areas that are either new, recently installed or currently under development. The shaded green areas are the undeveloped areas and the MSC Sisters Cemetery which we also have recently taken over.
Cremation Options
Did you know Gethsemane Cemetery has over twenty different options for cremation burial as well as a natural burial section? We invite you to stop by to learn more about these options.
Recently Redesigned Memorial Pages
We are continuing to let everyone know about our Mobile App and that our Memorial Pages have been recently redesigned.
You can find our mobile app and memorial pages here. When you find a loved one via the search, the memorial page will be an option to choose.
Sacred Heart Niches
Our Sacred Heart Niches in our Chapel of the Resurrection are still available. Four, oversized, stainless steel niches are nestled in the base of the Sacred Heart, which can accommodate multiple inurnments. Available as individual niches or the entire unit for a family.
Natural Burial
For those of you looking for an alternative to cremation, while reducing your ecological footprint at the time of burial, Gethsemane Cemetery offers our Section of St Kateri Tekakwitha, our Natural Burial Section.
