Timothy J. Kolasa

Executive Director

Tim is our Director. A graduate of Reading Central Catholic High School, Tim currently resides in Leesport with his wife Karen and their 3 children. He enjoys hunting and fishing in his free time. Tim has worked for St. Paul’s Parish or Gethsemane Cemetery since 1985.

Larry Sacco

Sr Family Service Counselor

Larry is our Sr Family Service Counselor and strives to convey to families that “people still do genuinely care”. A 1979 graduate of Reading High School, Larry served in the United States Air Force at Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas, Nevada from 1981 to 1985. Larry currently resides in Ontelaunee Township with his fiancé Kathleen. They are members of Holy Guardian Angels Parish. Larry’s hobbies include working out, golfing and bowling. Larry favorite sport teams are the Philadelphia Phillies and the Minnesota Vikings. Larry also enjoys wine tasting and going to the beach. Larry has been with Gethsemane Cemetery since 2009.

Mike Hoffmaster

Family Service Counselor

Mike is our Family Service Counselor. A 1987 graduate of Reading High School, Mike currently resides in Auburn, Schuylkill County with his wife Shannon and their two children. Mike enjoys playing golf, bowling and basketball. He also has interests in model building and disc jockeying. Mike has been with Gethsemane Cemetery since 1990

Anne Padinske

Administrative Assistant

Anne is the Administrative Assistant to the Executive Director. An alumna of Air Products and Chemicals in Allentown, she resides in Pennside. She has 2 grown children. Anne enjoys volunteering and contributing to Women’s charities and The Kennedy House in Reading, PA. Anne shines in the office environment and looks forward to assisting everyone who come(s) through our doors. Anne joined Gethsemane Cemetery in February, 2018.

Karen Kolasa

Receptionist

Our Receptionist, Karen, graduated from Schuylkill Valley High School in 1993, and Reading Area Community College with an Associate’s Degree in Human Services. Karen is a Certified Medical Assistant. She currently resides in Leesport with her husband and our Director, Tim and their 3 children. Karen enjoys relaxing with a good book and her family. Her hobbies include baking and arts and crafts. Karen has been with Gethsemane Cemetery since 2015.

Lori Pauley

Bookkeeper/Office Assistant

Lori is our Bookkeeper/Office Assistant, A 1981 graduate of Reading High School Lori furthered her studies at Berks Technical Institute with a degree in computer science. She currently resides in Bern Township with her husband, Greg, and their 2 children. Lori is interested in all types of crafts including crocheting, sewing, quilling and macramé. She also enjoys reading and building puzzles. Lori has been with Gethsemane Cemetery since 2009.

Eric Hoffmaster

Foreman

Eric is our Foreman. He attended Reading High School. Eric currently resides on the property of Gethsemane, with his wife Candi, where he strives to maintain the beauty and integrity of the cemetery. They have 3 children. Eric enjoys riding motorcycle, video games, camping, fishing, watching sports and spending time with family and friends. Eric has been with Gethsemane Cemetery since 1997.

Perry Loose

Senior Grounds Keeper

Perry is our Senior Groundskeeper. A 2003 graduate of Muhlenberg High School, Perry spent four years in Tech School for Plumbing and HVAC. Perry currently resides in Womelsdorf with his wife Tiffany and their two children. Perry’s hobbies include hunting, fishing, cooking and camping. Perry’s interests include football and the collecting of hot wheels. While not with us at Gethsemane, Perry is a firefighter and is Certified in First Aid and CPR with the Robesonia Fire Department. Perry has been with Gethsemane Cemetery since 2015.

Vincent Spease

Groundskeeper

Vince is one of our Groundskeepers. He is a 1990 graduate of Muhlenberg High School & Reading Muhlenberg Vo-Tech. Vince resides with his wife Dawn in Laureldale. He has a daughter, Karen and grandson Dominic. Vince’s hobbies include bowling, pool, hunting and fishing at his bungalow on the Maiden Creek. He is a volunteer officer at Goodwill Beneficial Association.

Vince has been with Gethsemane Cemetery in 2019.

Gary Yoder II

Groundskeeper

Gary graduated from Reading High school in 2000 with 4 years training as a Diesel Mechanic at the Reading Muhlenberg Vo-Tech. He is also certified in CPR. Gary currently resides in Reading with his fiancé Karen. He has 4 stepchildren and 2 grandchildren. Gary’s hobbies are sports, hiking, fishing and he loves to travel with his family.

Dylan Balaster

Groundskeeper

Dylan is one of our groundskeepers. A 2016 graduate of Muhlenberg High School, Dylan took the Adult Continuing Education Course at Berks Career and Vocational Technical Center and received his welding certifications. When not at work, Dylan enjoys playing video games and sports in local parks. He’s a big Eagles football fan.
